Following the seeming advantage and goodwill Senator Ifeanyi Ararume is presently enjoying in the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the resolve of virtually all the LGA chairmen, party stalwarts and stakeholders to throw their weight behind the Isiebu, Mbano, born political gladiator, it is gathered that those who are scared and obviously uncomfortable with these developments are making frantic efforts to blackmail him before the party leadership in Abuja.

The two time senator who has never been accused of anti party activities, as nobody has ever or will ever accuse him of such, considering his role in the party’s victory in the 2015 general election.
It is said that the governor had recently convened a meeting of APC leaders where he pledged to consider the LGA party Chairmen for appointment but the Chairmen in response, declined to take up any appointment on the grounds that it could be a plot to decimate the number of delegates that are supporting Araraume.
According to our source, Senator Ararume was instrumental to governor Okorocha’s emergence for a second tenure. He was also instrumental to Senator Ben Uwajumogu’s hard earned victory for the Okigwe senatorial seat, and that of Chiji Collins as member for Okigwe state constituency in the Imo House of Assembly.
Senator Ararume is also believed to have contributed immensely in sustaining the party and it’s structures, when there were no incentives.
Most of those in Okorocha’s camp are said, to have been devising various schemes and working tirelessly to discredit the magnanimous and amiable senator, before the party leadership at Abuja. Our source, who claims to still be in governor Okorocha’s camp, said, “though, I am still with governor Okorocha, my spirit remains with Ararume. Continuing, he said part of what we intend to do is to organize high level media campaign against the senator in multi dimensional ways.
However some Ararume loyalists who spoke to us on condition of anonymity, said, they are not bothered about any attempt to blackmail their principal because Imolities are now wiser and cannot be deceived by cheap blackmail. According to them, “Senator Ifeanyi Ararume’s towering image, consistent and glaring support for, interest and commitment to the welfare of the people cannot be rubbished by cheap, baseless and unfounded rumours and propaganda because, the taste of the pudding is in the eating”.
