Imolites have been commended for voting the PDP in last Saturday Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Imo State.

Sen. Samdaddy Anyanwu made the commendation while speaking to a crowd of PDP party faithfuls who throoped to his house to celebrate the declaration of PDP as the winner of the governorship election in Imo State.
Sen. Anyanwu expressed satisfaction at the loyalty of the party members and indeed the people of the State in voting the PDP, which he said was a direct response to his appeal to party members, his campaign structure, the Divine Mandate Movement and the good people of Imo State to come out enmasse and vote the party in the Governorship and House of Assembly elections.
He said the performance of the party in the elections have further proved that the State is a core PDP State, and that the people of the State are tired of the repressive government of the APC administration and therefore see the PDP as the only credible alternative for a better tomorrow.
Sen. Anyanwu who currently represents Owerri Zone(Imo East) in the Senate thanked Imolites for the confidence they repose in the party which was freely expressed in the elections, and promised them that the party will not take them for granted.
He said the party will fulfill all her campaign promises as a sign of appreciation to the people and appealed to them to continue to support the party.
“I want to assure you that your decision to heed my appeal to vote for PDP in the Governorship and House of Assembly elections is a decision that will kick start a new era in the history of our State. The choice of voting our party is a choice that will reclaim our State and give it back to the masses. Its a choice that will create jobs for our teeming number of unemployed youths. Its a choice that will empower our women and change the infrastructure narrative of the State” he stated.
It will be recalled that Sen. Anyanwu while interacting with his supporters two days to the Governorship and House of Assembly elections charged them and other Imolites to vote for the PDP in the elections.
His call was on the heels of the uncertainty surrounding the authentic candidate of the party which is yet to be determined by the court before the March 9th, 2019 elections, and the need for the party to win the elections irrespective of the fact that the mater is still in court.
