Hon. Emeka Ihedioha (CON,KSC), who was only six days ago inaugurated and sworn into office as the 6thExecutive Governor of Imo state, starting from the days of Chief Sam Onunaka Mbakwe, has once more boxed Rochas Okorocha to the corner.

He had earlier raised alarm that while his immediate successor, Rochas Okorocha was everywhere shouting hoarse that he left the sum of N43 billion for his successor, there was no single written documentary evidence, to back up such claims.

In another development, just to express his misgivings over the rumour, Ihedioha confronted the new appointed Head of Service and other Permanent Secretaries, to prepare handover notes within 24 hours, since none was coming from his predecessor.

Rochas Okorocha, who probably realized the dire consequences of handing over on the social media, was subsequently forced to give directiveq for official handover, now that he has successfully left the confines of Owerri for his legal fireworks at an Abuja Federal High Court, where he hopes to secure justice over his Certificate of Return as Senator-elect for Imo West.

Okorocha in his usual clannish fashion and nepotic inclination, directed his cousin, Emma Duru, who he recently appointed Principal Secretary of Government House Owerri taking over from Dr Pascal Obi, to handover to Ihedioha, officially.

Emeka Duru, also a native of Ogboko was Okorocha’s Head of Works Government House Owerri, and a well known accomplice in execution of what majority of Imolites described as “China roads” and establishment of hotels and privates houses,including the Urashi Hotel, Ogboko and the Akachi Annex’s eye popping wonder land, which Okorocha claimed to belong to his wife, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha, and for which Okorocha once said, “my wife is wealthier than me”.

Represented by the aforementioned Architect Emeka Duru, the out gone Governor regretted the delay caused in transmitting the document and called on the present administration to accept the document in good faith.

Receiving it on behalf of government, the SSG, Chief Uche Onyeagocha, expressed regret that a ceremony which ought to have taken place few days before the formal inauguration, is only being done about nine days after inauguration.

He however said that the Ihedioha administration is not in any way, deterred by the prevailing circumstances and evil machinations of unknown forces, but determined to deliver on its campaign promises, to the good people of Imo state.

The SSG used the opportunity to transmit the documents to the Chief of Staff Government House, Chief Chris Okewulonu, who will in like manner, pass it on to His Excellency, the Governor, Emeka Ihedioha.
