Isu Youths Warn Against Blackmailing Leaders

The youths of Isu LGA, have frowned at the sustained blackmail of some of its prominent, distinguished and illustrious sons by some greedy politician who are afraid that the leaders could outshine them in future political activities.

Writing under the caption, “I wept when I saw the commissioners nomination list of Governor Ihedioha yesterday”, the co-ordinator of Orluzurmee Youth Assembly Isu Chapter, Comrade Chiemezie G. Ozurumba, stated that he feels ashamed of the Isu political backwardness and the cheap political blackmails, against one another. Ozurumba further wondered how the people of Isu should continue in the habit of doing the same thing, the same way and yet expect change or different result.

Going down memory lane, he drew the attention of the people of Isu, to the fact that in the first four (4) years of the last administration, Isu had no single commissioner. It however took social media protests and constructive criticisms and of course the special intervention of God who in his infinite mercy, made it possible for the appointment of Hon. Ken Anaeme, as Commissioner of Culture and Tourism.

Like Comrade Ozurumba, other forward looking youths of Isu LGA, have variously expressed sadness with the recent suspension order slammed on Chief Pauly Ajoko and Hon. Ekene Ibejiuba (aka) Okosisi by the Deputy Chairman of PDP, Chief Ejiogu. They were of the opinion that such primitive and cheap actions, have the great potential of discouraging Governor Emeka from considering such highly knowledgeable and experienced technocrats as Chief Pauly Ajoko from appointment as commissioners etc. He cautioned against further back-biting, sabotage and blackmail against Isu intelligential, arguing that continuing such unhealthy brick-bats and trenches is unhealthy, unwarranted and tantamount, to lack of political patronage and poor development in the area.

“I don’t just want to mention names because of my position as a leader of a social-cultural group via Orluzurumee Youth Assembly, Isu chapter but if this ugly trend continues, I will go beyond this.

Isu muuru m, lets stop this evil trend of unnecessary fights, blackmails or propaganda against ourselves. It has no profit. Lets go for win-win politics than wasting our precious time and resources on trash thinking we are destroying someones image without knowing how we are rendering our political career useless.

How can we continue to celebrate a mere constitutional or statutory position like TC’s, Commissioners, Perm-Secs and House membership, while we have too many influential positions in our dear state? Isu LGA has capable hands for Principal Secretaries, Deputy Chief of Staff, Chief of Staff, SGI, just to mention but a few”, he complained bitterly.
