–      Raises fresh alarm on threat to her life

The recent release from detention of the alleged killers of Ahamefula Maduabuchi, who was shot  death at Isu council headquarters allegedly on the orders of one Henry Ihejiuba (aka Okeosisi) the SA on Security to sacked Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, when the deceased joined his suspended colleagues to protest on the 6th of January, 2020, following a Supreme Court declarative judgement, barring elected Governors and members of the House of Assembly of any authority to suspend or sack elected Councilors and Executive Chairmen of LGAs in Nigeria has elicited another round of anxiety in the area.

The unprecedented release coming amid the Covid-19 pandemic and official directive on social distancing and decongestion of prison to prevent the wide spreading deadly disease, instead of humbling the suspects of the gruesome murder, Henry Ihejiuba alias Okeosisi, said to have been released at the instance of the Director of public prosecution is reported to have boldened them into allegedly threatening the deceased family with death for raising further alarm and accusing them of killing their son, Maduabuchi Ahamefula.

Reports fielded from Isu LGA have it that both Okeosisi and the murder suspect who allegedly pulled the trigger at his explicit instruction were released from detention at Abuja unconditionally and given a letter to the IPO handling the matter in Imo State Police command against any further arrest or prosecution, following the killing of Maduabuchi Ahamefula.

The release and clean bill of health for the suspects had further  or consequently frustrated the earlier attempts by the culprits to compensate the bereaved family including Mrs Juliana Ahamefula and the widow of the deceased, Maduabuchi Ahamefula who is pregnant after having other two kids with the sum of N2.5 million.

It was gathered that an uncle to the bereaved family had advised against accepting the N2.5 million offer, saying it was grossly inadequate to cater for the widow and expectant mother of two. This advice had allegedly forced the murder suspects to apply the cash and explore their wide contacts  to reach out and secure Covid-19 pandemic unconditional bail from them, hence they are now grandstanding and allegedly threatening the bereaved family in the event Mrs Juliana Ahamefula raises further alarm over the death of Maduabuchi.
