In line with the Imo State government decision to tap or explore all avenues for improved Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
In a release signed by Mr Obiyo Ifeanyi C as acting Director General (DG) Imo State lotteries, Pools Betting, Gaming, Casino, Promotions and Control Commission invited all stakeholders to discussing meetings in a bid to brainstorm on a way out and to intimate them with government policy on internal resources.
The meetings according to him are necessary and to all intents and purposes, clear indications that the government regulatory and control body is alive to its responsibilities with a view to enhancing operations. Those invited for the meetings include lotto proprietor, lotto agents, pools agents, casino proprietors, sports betting proprietors, sport betting agents, pools promoters, on-line gaming proprietors.
The Director General further stated that the reason for convening the meetings is to acquaint all participants and stakeholders in the gaming industry of governments position on revenue generation, as it affects the industry.
