The Legal practitioner while giving an insight into Assembly happenings noted that it is unfortunate that some legislatures in the hallowed chamber of IMO State Assembly do not know the difference between praise singing and legislation. He accused someone of his colleagues on the APC divide of abusing some of the Legislative rules in a bid to favor and patronize the Uzodinma led shared prosperity government. He noted that some of House members who praised the former Governor, His Excellency, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, during his days in office are still the same people praising the current governor.
Responding, the Director General of Ihedioha New Media Centre, Comrade Ebube Mbah, expressed joy and thanked Hon Ugboma and the leaders of Oguta LGA for the warm reception given to the team. He noted that Hon. Ugboma is a man to reckon with who has demonstrated what a legislator should be within his one year in office. He is a man that has always made efforts to demonstrate to his colleagues, especially those from the ruling party that the State Assemblies are independent arm of the government and shouldn’t be allowed to be controlled or manipulated by the executive arm, he noted.
Mbah assured Hon Frank that the team shall continue to do what they know how to do best and shall continue to speak for the wellbeing of Imolites and crave for good governance for the good people of IMO state.
He urged the distinguished legislature to remain resolute and continue to speak truth to power and that the team is always there to support him.
