The Traditional Ruler of Obi Mbieri Autonomous Community in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State HRH Eze Josiah Osuji may be heading into trouble over his refusal to allow his late brother’s widow to be buried, if he does not listen to voice of wisdom but continued to reject the path of peace.
This followed his refusal to acknowledge the invitation of Bureau for peace and conflict resolution Imo State extended to him in order to resolve the Issue.

However, with the resolve and determination in fulfilling the mandate of the organization, the officers of Bureau led by their Director General Amb. Engr. Peter Ohagwa in Company of Journalists on Wednesday 9th Sept. 2020 visited the palace of the Monarch at Obi Mbieri who was said to have travelled out of state a day before  Tuesday 8th Sept. 2020 with his wife and children despite calls and text messages sent to him about the visit by the officials of the Bureau.

According to one of the EzeOsuji’s brother Mr. Kalu Osuji, he said “My brother Eze Josiah Osuji travelled because of ill health and I don’t know when he will be coming back but I will tell him that you people came whenever he comes back”.

The Director General Bureau for peace and conflict Resolution,Engr. Peter Ohagwa told Mr. Kalu and others present that following Newspapers report and formal complaint from the children of Eze’s late brothers widow about the Eze’s refusal to allow their late mother to be buried since her demise in early Feb. 2020, the Bureau whose mandate is to make peace had wade into the matter by inviting the His Royal Highness for talks which he eventually turned down and being a traditional Ruler, the Bureau decided to come to him as a respect but surprisingly he is not present.

Continuing, Engr. Hence their reason for the visit is to resolve the issue so that the dead will be buried. The Bureau officials there and then gave HRH Eze Osuji up to two weeks, precisely Wed. 23rd Sept. 2020 to enable them meet in order to resolve the issue as pleaded by Eze’s brother Mr. Kalu.
