The Imo state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has postponed the commissioning of the newly renovated press centre and well equipped cyber café formally scheduled to hold today September, 17, 2021.

This was contained in a release signed by the Secretary, Austin Okoro and made available to Newsmen.

The commissioning which was postponed as a result of some unavoidable circumstances will now hold on a date yet to be announced after the congress scheduled to hold on Sunday.

It would be recalled that the NUJ Secretariat which was vandalized by Chris Akaraonye, the retired photographer, turned dissident Chairman of Imo NUJ, and his cohorts, as a prelude to allegedly sell the facility to a former governor of the state is presently wearing a new look as electricity and water supply that were disconnected have been restored, courtesy of the Comrade Precious Nwadike led Caretaker Committee of Imo NUJ.
