Chairman and Executive Director, Volka Afrika Groups, Aic Izuchukwu Akwarandu has urged Nigerian youths against taking to crimes and social vices including intake of hard drugs.

Akwarandu, a young entrepeneur who gave the charge at the official unveiling of the Volka Afrika Magazine, held in Owerri, recently , said such attitudes are reasons why elders look down on the youths.

He advised that the youth should utilize their youthful energy to make positive impacts in the society instead of allowing themselves to be used negatively by some inordinate politicians and like.

He said, “the youths are the cardinal foundation of every society. They should utilize their energy to make positive impacts in the society. They should abstain from crimes, criminality and social vices such as taking of hard drugs. They should be the greatest ambassadors against those things because these are the reasons why the elders look down on them.”

On political participation, the former Special Assistant to former governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha on Electronic Media said,” we, the youths are already participating in politics. What we need is to sustain and increase the tempor. We should not allowed anybody to push us out or be intimidated. “Politics is not for anybody. It is for everybody. We should take the advantage and join political parties. We should make the elders know when to leave the stage. And how do we do that? We do that with our votes.”
