The Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Nigeria Watchdog Newspaper, Comrade Precious Nwadike has temporarily left his duty post with effect from today as he proceeds on leave of absence.

Comrade Nwadike, who is presently the Chairman, Board of Trustees of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly and former Senatorial candidate of the United Progressive Party (UPP) for Orlu senatorial zone during the 2019 election stated this in a letter he addressed to the Board of Directors of the Newspaper.

In the letter dated April 9,2022 Nwadike said that his decision which  was taken in good faith is to enable him participate fully in the 2023 election and also dissociate his personal and political interests from the views expressed in the newspaper.

“My absence will not affect the vision and mission of the newspaper which are aimed at propagating an ideal society that will be fair and just to all by tenaciously holding onto professional ethics”.

Comrade Nwadike who is also Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the Nigeria Union of Journalists,NUJ Imo State Council further stated that, “his decision is very apt and necessary at a time like this that the people have expressed desire for focused, purposeful and people-oriented leadership and representation at all levels.”

He assured the company of his continued support and encouragement and urged them to sustain the standard for which the outfit is known.
