The entire leadership and exco members of PDP Ward 12, Ife/Chokoneze/Akpodim, Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA, Imo State yesterday, the 13th May,2022, deliberated meaningfully in a meeting convened by Ward Chairman from where they unanimously passed vote of confidence on Chairman, Hon. Ugoeze Carolina Onwubiko.
They premised their resolution on her exceptional qualities which has helped in keeping the ward together. They also considered her loyalty to the party vis-a-vis numerous contributions in making PDP formidable in the area.
The resolution which copy was made available to this reporter reads, in full,” That the Executive members of the Ward led by the Ward Chairman, Hon. Ugoeze Carolina Onwubiko, has done wonderfully well in sustaining the political tempo in the Ward which is made up of 25 Polling booths since the inception of this tenure. The Ward Chairman has deepened political consciousness of the people of Ward 12 and has succeeded, alongside her Exco, in entrenching PDP in the hearts of the people of the largest Ward in Imo State.
“That the Ward Chairman, having worked assiduously to reposition our great Party, should be appreciated.
“That the leadership, including members of the Exco of the Ward, in its entirety herein pass a VOTE OF CONFIDENCE in the entire EXCO led by Hon. Ugoeze Carolina C. Onwubiko.
“That the leadership of the Ward warns trouble makers in the Ward to eschew bitterness and rancor but the path of peace.
” That it is only the Ward Chairman who is constitutionally authorized to convene Ward meetings. Any other meeting(s) convened in the Ward without the Chairman’s approval contravenes the constitution of our great Party. Such meeting(s) is/are illegal and unlawful and its/their decisions shall be null and void and of no effects whatsoever. And appropriate should be sanctions shall be meted out to the conveners of such illegal meeting(s).
“That this communiqué serves also as a formal warning to those who are in the habit of breaking the Party Constitution.
“And that the our great Party is big enough to accommodate all interests and that nobody, irrespective of his/her status, should take the Party for granted!”.
