The Labour Party has suspended Chief Joseph Ukaegbu (Ikenga) one of its governorship aspirants in for anti-party activities.

The former governorship aspirant was suspended by his Umudim Ward for what it referred to as, “misconduct, anti-party activities, undignified and indecorous activities and for not participating in the activities of the ward for more than years”.

The ward has communicated its decision to the State Executive Council SEC and the National Executive Council NEC, also stated that a 5-member disciplinary committee had been set up to decide Ukaegbu’s fate.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Ward Chairman, Ikechukwu Uba, Vice Chairman, Martin Anyanwu, Secretary, Chief Emmanuel Nwaneri and Assistant Secretary, Mrs Eunice Ojor.
