-Inaugurates Committee
The Orluzurumee Youth Assembly (OYA) has formally inaugurated the Legislative Performance Assessment Committee it set up recently, in line with its commitment to promote accountability, transparency and effective representation in the Orlu Senatorial Zone.
The inauguration ceremony was held on Saturday, April 25 2026, at the NUJ Press Centre, along Port Harcourt Road Owerri.
The Inauguration was attended by key stakeholders, including the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Orluzurumee Youth Assembly, Comrade Precious Nwadike.

In his address, the National President of the organization, Prince Izunna Obiefule, who inaugurated the committee, expressed confidence in the capacity and integrity of the members.
He charged them to approach their assignment with diligence, objectivity and a strong commitment to evidence-based evaluation.
Obiefule emphasized that the initiative was designed to strengthen democratic governance by encouraging quality and effective representation, with a view to fostering peace and driving sustainable development across the Orlu Senatorial Zone.
Chairman of the Committee, Comrade Nnamdi Achi, appreciated the leadership of OYA for entrusting them with what he described as a critical civic responsibility. He assured that the Committee would carry out its mandate with utmost seriousness, adding that its work would be guided by fairness, objectivity and verifiable data.
Achi noted that the Committee was not constituted to witch-hunt any individual, but to provide an honest and constructive assessment of the performance of legislators representing Orlu Senatorial Zone at various levels.
He reaffirmed the commitment of Committee Members to work collaboratively in achieving set objectives and delivering outcomes that will benefit the people.
The Legislative Performance Assessment Committee is expected to serve as a credible platform for evaluating legislative impact, strengthening the relationship between elected representatives and the electorate.
