Ahead of the 2027 elections, former member of the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ngozi Obiefule, has purchased nomination and expression of interest forms to contest for the Isu, Nwangele, Njaba, and Nkwerre Federal Constituency under the APC in Imo State.
Speaking to the press after obtaining the forms, Obiefule said her decision to run for the House of Representatives is driven by her desire to ensure more effective representation for the people.
She acknowledged the contributions of past representatives but stressed her readiness to deliver improved and people-oriented leadership.
“I have been in this federal constituency for a long time and I understand the challenges facing our people. That is why I am seeking to represent them. I performed well as a member of the House of Assembly, and I intend to do even better at the federal level, where I will have more resources to cater to the well-being of our people,” she said.
It would be recalled that during her tenure as the representative of Isu State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Obiefule made notable contributions that transformed representation in the area achievements that constituents still commend to this day.
Her accomplishments include the provision of boreholes in several communities and the award of scholarships to many indigent students.
In addition, she facilitated opportunities for six youths from the constituency to travel abroad in search of better prospects, and they are reportedly doing well.
Obiefule is also known for her continued humanitarian efforts, including paying hospital bills for indigent persons in partnership with Mother of Mercy Hospital, Umuna, in Orlu Local Government Area.
