Omuma Central Union in Diaspora (OCU Diaspora) has congratulated the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, on his resounding victory at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Imo West Senatorial Primary Election.
In a release jointly signed and made available by the Chairman of OCU Diaspora, Chief Ekene Okoye and the Secretary, Chief Okolie Godday Chukwudi, the union described Uzodimma’s emergence as a clear reflection of the trust, confidence and overwhelming support he enjoys across Orlu Zone and Imo State at large.
“Governor Hope Uzodimma secured a sweeping victory with a total of 230,464 votes across the twelve Local Government Areas of Orlu Zone to emerge as the APC flagbearer for the Imo West Senatorial District, while his closest challenger, former Governor, Rochas Okorocha, polled 1,098 votes.
“The Union reiterated that the outcome of the primary election demonstrated the people’s appreciation of Uzodimma’s leadership style, infrastructural development, commitment to peace and dedication to the progress of Imo State.
“OCU Diaspora remains proud of the Governor’s achievements and expressed confidence that his wealth of experience and visionary leadership would continue to bring greater development, unity and prosperity to Orlu Zone and Imo State at large.
The group prayed for God’s guidance, wisdom, strength and good health upon the Governor as he prepares for the 2027 General Elections.
“Your victory is not only a personal achievement, but a victory for Ndi Imo and all lovers of progress and development,” the group hinted.
OCU Diaspora also reaffirmed its commitment to unity, peace, progress and community development among Omuma indigenes both at home and in the diaspora.
