…Commends DVC On Successful Ceremony
The Orluzurumee Youth Assembly (OYA), has decorated the outgoing pioneer Vice Chancellor of Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University (KOMU), Ogboko, Ideato South, Imo State, Professor Ikechukwu Nosike Simplicious Dozie, with distinguished Award of Excellence in Transformational Leadership, Educational Advancement and Youth Development.
The Award was presented to the Vice Chancellor on Saturday, during the Special Senate and Grand Valedictory Ceremony/Sent- Forth, organized by the University, held at Rockview Hotel, Owerri.
Presenting the Award, the National President of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly, Prince Izunna Obiefule, noted that the Vice Chancellor merited the Honor given his milestone achievements that had transformed the State owned varsity and brought more development to Orlu Senatorial Zone.
Obiefule said the Board of Trustees, Leaders and the entire Members of Orluzurumee Youth Assembly decided to appreciate the VC for impacting positively to the University which he added has over 3000 students with great and excellent academic records.
Obiefule assured Orluzurumee Youth Assembly, the apex and umbrella youth body of Orlu Senatorial Zone, would continue to partner with the VC and other relevant bodies and agencies to strengthen quality academics, youth rejuvenation and society development.
“This honor is a reflection of the appreciation of youths in Orlu Senatorial Zone for the stability and progressive transformation of Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ideato, at a time when institutions across the nation continue to struggle with instability and declining standards.
“Professor Ikechukwu Nosike Simplicious Dozie has demonstrated courage, administrative discipline and visionary leadership in repositioning the University towards excellence.
“We believe leadership must be celebrated, not merely by titles, but by tangible contributions to society.
“Today’s Award stands as evidence that impactful service will always be remembered and honored by the people. May the legacy of excellence we celebrate today continue to inspire future generations”, Obiefule stressed.
The Assembly had also commended the Deputy Vice Chancellor of KUMO and the Organizing Committee Chairman of the event, Prof. Jude Ogbulie, for organizing a successful sent-forth ceremony.
Reacting, the awardee, Prof. Ikechukwu Nosike Simplicious Dozie, thanked the Orluzurumee Youth Assembly for recognizing his sterling efforts with the Distinguished Award and promised to continuous impact that improves quality education, youth development and society edification.
