The third edition of Chief Sergius Ogoh Foundation empowerment programme, meant to train and equip the youths of Orlu ancient kingdom in Orlu LGA, has ended in grand style, with more than 15 beneficiaries lavishly empowered for the 2018 phase of the empowerment scheme.

Speaking during the conclusion of the 2018 empowerment programme, Nze (Barr) Aloysius Agusiegbe, who was the Chairman of the occasion, used the opportunity to call on the beneficiaries, to put the materials and other resources provided by the philanthropist to work, and not to misuse such wonderful gestures. He commended Chief Obioha who thought it wise to annually embark on training and empowering the youth in memory of his late father.

Contributing, Chief Executive Officer of Eva Victory Aluminum Company, Owerri, Chief Val Nwagu, said that such a laudable empowerment scheme to immortalize late Chief Sergius Ogoh, has posed a great challenge to him, on how best to contribute in the development of the community. He also assured of his continued support to the donor, Chief Obi Ogoh as well as those beneficiaries, who would put in their best to excel with the programme. He pointed out that the most annoying aspect, is when one misused such a good opportunity and he further promised to support them with huge cash donations.

Addressing news men, the Deputy Director General of Chief Sergius Ogoh Foundation, Mrs Uche Nwabuife, said that the Foundation is out to facilitate the development of Orlu autonomous communities with the introduction of a one year skill acquisition training, feeding and equipping of the youth to ensure they excel in their trade or handiworks, which she said is devoid of any form of sentiment as Orlu people are one before the Foundation. She also pointed out that the Foundation has promised to sink a water borehole at the centre of the community, which will be managed by an independent person in the area.

The beneficiaries include, Konye Nkeiruka, Obi Solomon, Chetachi Nwadike, Esonwanne Onyinyechi, Amarachi Ohia, Ogechi Odoemena, Chizoba Igwe, Adindu Agbaka as well as Okpe Odinaka, Tochukwu Okwarauwa, Okorie Onyekachi, Chidozie Esonwanne, Ugonna Enyinnaya and Chidiebere Idumogu.

While Ugonna Enyinnaya received a Sienna Toyota Bus for commercial transportation, Okorie Onyekachi and Chidozie Esonwanne got a Volkswagen Passat each, with Chidiebere Idumogu and Tochukwu Okwarauwa receiving Keke Napepe, respectively. An elated and excited Ugonna Enyinnaya was so happy, he thanked God and the donor for such favour. He also promised to put the materials to work, effectively.

The highlight of the occasion was a special prayer session from the Two Hearts of Love Founder, Rev. Fr. (Dr) Montfort Okaa, and the special guest of honour, and UPP Orlu senatorial candidate, Comrade Precious Nwadike, for God’s continued intervention in the lives of Orlu people, especially in the new year, to enable them choose their right caliber of leaders, who will serve their collective interest and better their welfare.
