The Imo State Gubernatorial Candidate for Action Democratic Party (ADP), Ezeji Dr. Kachi Nwoga from Umunanwiri Umuezuo Umuokrika in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA has been commended for the yearly hosting of Umunanwiri kindred to the annual Iriji Mbaise cultural festival.
Speaking during the event at Late Chief Joseph Uzegbu Nwoga Family Civic Hall, the Kindred Council Chairman, Elder Paul Umeyor patted him on the back for the annual ritual and urged him not to relent.
He expressed gratitude to him and other sons and daughters of Umunanwiri, home and diaspora for putting smiles on the faces of their people, remarking that charity begins at home.
Welcoming the kinsmen to the ceremony earlier, the councillor representing Umueke, Mr. Zeph Nwoga who stood in for Dr. Kachi, thanked him for not only promoting the Igbo rich cultural heritage of Iriji but also for fostering peace and unity in the kindred.
Commenting, Chief Evaristus Obiyo said he was proud to be born in Umunanwiri and extolled his people for their team spirit.
He extolled Dr. Kachi for brotherliness and hospitality and enjoined all to keep up the spirit of togetherness and peaceful co-existence.
In a vote of thanks, Chief Modestus Nwoga lauded Ezeji Kachi Nwoga for hosting the kindred to the 2023 Iriji fiesta just as he has been doing on yearly basis.
He gave thanks to theirs sons and daughters for always remembering them, particularly during the COVID-19 lock-down and appreciated them for the numerous palliatives.
Present at the event, include the former member representing Ahiazu Mbaise State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Pius Nwoga, Mr. Facetus Ibe, Mr. Eusebius Nwoga, Mr. Leo Nwoga, the councillor representing Umuayoka, Mr. Hypolitus Chukwu, the Vice Chairman, Aladinma Umuezuo, Mr. Paschal Nwoga, amongst others.
