–      Extol Him For Timely Interventions Aiding Growth Of Rural Markets

Traders in Imo State under the auspices of the Imo State Market and Traders Association (ISAMATA), have passed a vote of confidence on the Chairman Imo Traditional Institution and Community Policing, HRM, Eze Emmanuel Okeke of Amaifeke Ancient Kingdom, Orlu Local Government Area, for his overwhelming support which, according to them has culminated in bridging the gap between the traders and leaders of the various communities unlike what happened in the past when traders were always at war with the community leaders as a result of communication gap and divergent interests, which impeded the development and growth of markets in the state.

The traders stated this through their President, Hon Emmanuel Ezeanochie, while reacting to the call by a faceless group for the removal of Eze Okeke.

“Those calling for the removal of Eze Okeke may not know the role he is playing as Chairman, Imo State Traditional Institution and Community Policing to ensure that there is unity of purpose at the grassroots in terms of socio-economic development. As far as we are concerned, such call is uncalled for because, it is counter productive to change a winning team”.

“Besides, as it stands now, one of the items on the agenda of ISAMATA is to partner with traditional rulers to enhance the growth and development of rural communities in the state.

“More especially, now that Governor Uzodinma has encouraged people to go back to their farms, traditional rulers and traders should work in synergy to ensure the actualization of the program in the overall interest of Imo people”.
