Ahead of the 2027 general elections with preparations on top gear, a renowned United Nations diplomate and Professor of law, Prof. Uche Kunjo Emereonnyee has emerged as the candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) to represent Ideato North and South Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives.
His emergence which was greeted with wide jubilation owing his track records of achievements as a former Council Secretary of Ideato South Local Government Area who served with dignity and commitment has been described as a game changer.
Our correspondent who monitored various social media platforms associated with the Federal Constituency, hinted that his choice of candidacy was a new down and prayer answered as the people have suffered disappointment as a result of none qualified candidates of other political parties now have sigh of relief and continue to sing the praises of the NDC.
The people of Ideato Nation who are looking for a suitable replacement of the current representative, while celebrating his emergence noted with excitement that of a truth, Ideato South as a people have made them proud by producing the Professor of note and University done who knows his onions to fly the flag of the NDC describing it as a done deal.
Expressing his readiness to serve the people of Ideato Nation with utmost dedication and representation anchored on people’s interest, the Umuma Isiaku, Ideato South born diplomate made it clear that his resolve while joining the race was to show the people what it means to be a representative by making sure that everyone constituent benefits from the dividends of democracy.
Prof. Emereonnyee while affirming his resolve for a purposeful representation when elected, made it early that he was well prepared and ready to win the election. He added that with the level of his exposure and academic attainment, he would bring to bear, his wealth of experience and connections to better the lots of Ideato people.
