-Charges Campaign Council To Work With Party Structure For Victory
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Okigwe North Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Hon. Uchenna Emmanuel Agasu, has inaugurated his campaign organisation, charging members to work closely with the party’s structures across the constituency to secure victory at the polls.
The inauguration of the Uchenna Agasu Campaign Organisation (UACO) took place on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Agasu’s country home in Umokodike-Okwelle, Onuimo Local Government Area of Imo State.
The campaign organisation comprises political leaders, strategists, media professionals, mobilisers and other stakeholders drawn from the three local government areas that make up Okigwe North Federal Constituency—Onuimo, Okigwe and Isiala Mbano.
High Chief Aloysius Oduba was appointed Director-General of the campaign organisation, while Hon. Sir Uzochukwu Iwuagwu, Esq., was named Secretary.
Other members of the campaign team include Hon. Chika Israel Okoroike, Director of Strategy I; Hon. Dr. Emeka Obi, Director of Strategy II; Hon. Lady Nkechi Mbonu, Director of Strategy III; Barr. Kissinger Ikeokwu, Director of Legal Affairs; Uju Onyechere, Director of Information and Publicity; Dr. Emma Mbanusi, Director of Federal Constituency Strategy; and Hon. Andy Maduako, Director of New Media.
The campaign also appointed coordinators for the three local government areas, with Engr. Okey Alozie serving as Coordinator for Onuimo LGA, Hon. Emeka Mmereni for Okigwe LGA and Sir Victor Mbagwu for Isiala Mbano LGA.
Others appointed into various positions include Hon. Promise Awuzie, Director, Welfare/Programmes I; Chief Chidi Dike, Director, Contacts and Critical Leaders Mobilisation; Lady Lolo Nkiru Olivia Ijeoma, Federal Constituency Women Mobiliser; Hon. Igbo Chidi Ebere, Federal Constituency Youth Mobiliser; Hon. Ndubuisi Emeahu, Director of Protocols; Kwenma Michael, Strategic Media; Comr. Vitalis Lebechi, Welfare and Programmes II; and Hon. Stanley Mbonu, Campaign Materials Compliance.
The organisation also constituted clan coordinators and an Elders Advisory Committee as part of efforts to strengthen its grassroots mobilisation and outreach.
Speaking during the inauguration, Agasu charged members of the campaign organisation to approach their responsibilities with seriousness, commitment and a strong sense of responsibility.
He emphasised the importance of unity and teamwork, urging members to deploy their experience, networks and individual capacities towards taking the campaign to every part of Okigwe North.
Agasu expressed confidence in the capacity of the team to deliver on its mandate, noting that the appointments were made with the expectation that members would bring their wealth of experience, ideas and political networks to bear on the campaign.
He further urged the campaign organisation to collaborate with APC structures at all levels while engaging the electorate with a message focused on effective representation, development and service to the constituency.
In his inaugural address, the Director-General of UACO, High Chief Aloysius Oduba, urged members to remain focused, disciplined and committed to the task ahead.
Oduba said the central objective of the organisation was to work collectively and strategically to secure the election of Agasu as the next member of the House of Representatives representing Okigwe North Federal Constituency.
Members of the newly inaugurated campaign organisation subsequently expressed their readiness to contribute their quota towards the success of the UACO project and the emergence of Agasu as the next representative of the constituency in the National Assembly.
