There was a mild drama in court yesterday as wife of the suspended deputy commissioner of Police and erstwhile Head of the IGP’s Intelligence Response Team, (IRT) Abba Kyari slumped at the resumed hearing of her husband’s drug related case at a federal High Court in Abuja.

Shortly after the woman slumped, she was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment. While some people said the sudden development was because she has been asthmatic for some time, others attributed her sudden health challenge to the fact that she could not believe that her husband with his larger than life image could be arraigned in court like a common criminal.

Others who commented on the development said the woman was acting a script aimed at arousing sentiment with a view to attracting underserved sympathy.
